From the all-new coined “Granny Chic” style to the coveted “Modern English” interior, 2022 has shown us that there are some design trends that are in full steam ahead as they’ve already started to make their comeback.
The first you may be asking is, “What is Granny Chic?” The simplest way to describe what Granny Chic is to think of it as your grandmother’s interiors turned modern. It’s a nostalgic take on a seemingly “dead” style that everyone was just sure would never come back into style. Well, now we’re here, and it’s making it’s comeback in a big, bold way.
If you want to find a way to incorporate the latest trends without an all in commitment, here are three ideas to try in 2023.
#1 – Pleated Lampshades
Whether you like an empire shape (otherwise known as tapered) or a more modern shape like a drum style shade, pleated shades are coming back in all shapes, sizes, patterns, and colors. Here are a few I pulled from Amazon for you to check out and try.
#2 – Wallpaper
Wallpaper has made a big comeback this year and it doesn’t seem that this trend will slow down any time soon. Wallpaper, sometimes referred to as wallcovering, is an amazing way to elevate any room. Use it as an accent wall, on the ceiling, or to cover all your walls. Either way, some would argue this trend is here to stay for the long haul. Check out some of these classic options from Amazon!
